General Warehouse Operative (Days Ideal for Students) Permanent or Seasonal - £8.91 per hour
(£1,000 Summer Bonus pro rated from 1st June)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The role of Warehouse Operative for the MJB team would suit someone who is a positive team player and has a desire to provide an efficient and accurate service to our customers. This role will operate from a ambient depot. A requirement of the role is that you will:

  • Pick customer orders for next day delivery as per company processes, undertake all necessary controls and ensuring temperature disciplines are complied with where applicable. You may be required to lift products up to 25kg.

  • Ensure that all stock is stored, handled and loaded securely in line with company procedures, food hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines.

  • Work with team colleagues to ensure that the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and complies with company standards at all times.

  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are adhered to, raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager.

  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.

  • Conscientious, reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.

Purchase Ledger Clerk £19,500+ (depending upon experience)
(£1,000 Summer Bonus pro rated from 1st June)

Responsibilities

To maintain an accurate and meaningful purchase ledger.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience preferred

  • Computer literate essential.

  • Ability to communicate by email/phone with colleagues and suppliers.

  • Accuracy.

Duties

  • Summarising/matching delivery notes with goods received notes.

  • Matching invoices to goods received notes.

  • Produce debit notes following above matching procedure.

  • Emailing debit notes to suppliers.

  • Posting supplier invoices/credits to ledger

  • Preparing payment files for authorisation to meet supplier terms and to achieve maximum settlement discounts where applicable.

  • Deducting debit notes/amounts owed by suppliers from payments to them.

  • Printing and emailing remittance advices to suppliers.

  • Checking and posting direct debit payments.

  • Chasing payment of supplier debts.

  • Answering/dealing with telephone calls/emails from suppliers.

  • Reconciling supplier statements at the end of the month to the ledger.

  • From the reconciliations – investigating differences and obtaining copy invoices, proof of delivery etc.

Other Duties

  • Maintaining/Setting up new purchase ledger accounts.

  • Producing schedules of EC VAT.

  • Producing end of month information for accounts.

  • Doing purchase ledger month end.

  • Completing new supplier application forms.

  • Any other office duties as required.

Telesales Executive Realistic £20k+ OTE, excellent basic salary and commission scheme

The Individual

Are you an outgoing, motivated person who finds it easy talking to and building successful relationships with a wide selection of people? Are you organised and able to work under pressure?  If the answer to these questions is yes and you want to be part of a lively and successful team then this opportunity is for you.  Experience of telesales, as well as Outlook, Word and Excel is preferred but not essential as full training will be required.  Most importantly we want the right person to join our team who in abundance has the can do, will do approach to help support our customers.

The Role

As the successful candidate your primary duty will be to capture our customer’s weekly food orders on the telephone from an established ledger of trading accounts.  As part of this order capture process you will be required to promote in special offers and enter all information onto our computer system.  As part of the team, as well as making outbound calls to your own sales ledger you will be required to receive incoming calls from other customers.  This will be to take their orders and/or resolve any queries or questions they may have. In all customer contact, great customer service must be delivered at all times.

The Salary & Hours

HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver Annual Salary: £29,500
(£1,000 Summer Bonus pro rated from 1st June)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The driver for the MJB team would suit someone who possesses a strong customer focus and a desire to provide a professional delivery service. A requirement of the role is that you would:

  • Complete daily walk round checks prior to departure to ensure that your vehicle is legally compliant

  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner and at all times ensure that you adhere to road conditions, speed limits and road signage

  • Deliver to multiple catering establishments across South West England

  • Liaise with the transport team in relation to customer, vehicle or traffic issues

  • Ensure that your vehicle is washed and fuelled upon your return to the depot

  • Accurately complete any delivery documentation

  • Arranging stock uplifts with supplier where necessary.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold a valid driving licence (Category C)

  • Hold a Driver CPC qualification and Digital tachograph card

  • Have fewer than 6 penalty points on your licence

  • Possess excellent customer service skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Good Geographical knowledge of the South West

  • Experience of temperature controlled multi drop deliveries

Hours

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, start time between 04:00 and 06:00 dependant on allocated route.
